He currently serves as a Staff-Sergeant in the U.S. Army Band, an assignment that has taken him around the globe to perform and lead masterclasses in New York, Florida, Alaska, India, and Japan. Over the course of his career, he has had the privilege of studying under master educators and musicians, including Robert Mccormick, Kevin Von Kampen, Carl Allen, and Adam Cruz.
“I know Jacob through our jazz program at CCNY. I have musical experience as a singer but worry too much and underestimate myself sometimes when it comes to my rhythm. He strengthened the trust I have in my musicality and did it by being clear and disciplined, while also encouraging me and cracking jokes.”

Student Testimonials
Jacob is an extremely thoughtful Drum teacher, and a fantastic musician to boot. Every lesson is super focused and centered around my musical interests and goals. He gives super direct and encouraging feedback and always makes sure I understand the concept before moving on. I'm so glad I found a private drum instructor who actually cares! Whether you've been playing for years or just getting started, there's no doubt Jacob will take you to the next level, and beyond! Also, he always gives clear PDF and video materials, and always answers any questions I have in between lessons, which is super helpful in keeping up my progress!
